Monitorian is a lightweight, open-source Windows desktop utility designed to seamlessly adjust the brightness of multiple monitors from a single interface. It eliminates the need to fiddle with clunky physical buttons on your screens, placing simple sliders right in your Windows system tray instead.

Unlike software that merely applies a dark tint over your screen, Monitorian communicates directly with your hardware to change the actual hardware brightness. Key Features

Multi-Monitor Coordination: Control the brightness of external displays and laptop screens either individually or simultaneously in unison.

DDC/CI Integration: Uses the Display Data Channel/Command Interface (DDC/CI) protocol to control external hardware natively.

Custom Range Tuning: Adjust the minimum and maximum ranges of brightness and contrast per monitor to better match your environment.

Organized Interface: Rename monitors inside the app to easily track which slider controls which display.

Sensor Synergy: Displays both user-configured brightness and ambient light sensor adjustments side by side on compatible devices. How to Get It

The app is developed by emoacht and is released under the flexible MIT license. You can download the free base version directly via the Monitorian GitHub Repository or the Microsoft Store. Paid Add-on Features

While the core slider application is entirely free, Monitorian offers an optional subscription tier for advanced users. These paid add-ons unlock:

Custom keyboard shortcuts and hotkeys for rapid adjustments.

Advanced command-line options for scripting and automated setup. Seamless control for setups exceeding 4 monitors. Requirements and Limitations

To control an external monitor, DDC/CI must be enabled in your monitor’s physical On-Screen Display (OSD) settings menu. Note that older docking stations, cheap display converters, and certain video cables can occasionally block DDC/CI communication signals. emoacht/Monitorian – GitHub
